I just noticed for the first time, that the ID plate on my Legend says Heritage, but the bag says Legend II, are the Legend II and Heritage II the same vac?

I thought they would be the same, but I thought I would ask anyway. I don't know a whole lot about Kirbys but the one thing I do know, is that I like them A LOT, LOL.

The heritage I, heritage II,
heritage II legend, and legend II are all the same machine.
with the heritage one having a classic nozzle as the only diffrence.

The Heritage I did continue to use the Classic series Sani-Emtor as well. It also two bag options, a re-designed disposable bag assembly that was first introduced on the Tradition or a shake-out bag. The Heritage I was (I think) the last model to offer a shake-out bag. When the Heritage II was introduced, it featured the new Mini-Emtor and yet another disposable bag docking design (which carried through the G series). The Heritage II also introduced the smaller, more refined rug nozzle.

They widened the rear axle on the Heritage Two to give it better stability, if you put a full size emptor on the Heritage Two it will rub on the rear wheels, The Heritage Two, Legend and Legend Two are the same just a different color, Kirby was just stalling till they could get the G3 out.

The heritage II did have the shakeout option but it was very rare

Kirby H II...

Initially, the Heritage II was the original 'large' head nozzle, similar to prior models back to the Classic. Also, they started out without the BPI light in the nozzle. There were other differences (ie: brushrolls changed); however, as stated above, many of the other changes were only cosmetic.

Cheers & hagd all,

Bill

Ps: If anyone desires Genuine Kirby parts, I posted a thread on the Off-Topic forum regarding the same.
