Now how cool is this!! I didn't know Sunbeam made a shop-vac.

Too bad it's not in better condition.

I've seen that exact vacuum with the Black & Decker name, Singer Porch and Patio (own one. in the box, used though) and Westinghouse(also have). They're dry pick-up only vacuums and that one looks like it was used wet

OOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooOOh

How very pretty!

I went nuts when I found a shop vac branded vacuum in B-n-Q for £30!

... I also went nuts when I realised how sh** it was!
After a mere months usage the plastic on the hood started to warp and it began blowing crap out of the top of it, or water if it was used wet. However, I did use it for domestic cleaning and I now have an extendable vacuum to suck up alsorts of rubbish! lol

Charlie... just like every other time

hummm...that's so cool! I didn't know that Sunbeam made those kind of vacuums, I also have seen this same machine sold by many other brands, and I have one made by Tornado wich is very similar, at least the metal dust bin is the same except for the colour and the lettering ^^

The Original Shop Vac

My Dad has that same vac from the early 70's with a brown top and white on the middle of the can with red elongaged diamonds. It say "The Original Shop Vac" on the brown top. Next time I am over at his house I'll take some pics. It uses a double filter system of a fabric bag with a paper bag over it. The power is not so hot but a nice sized vac and dry pick up only.

For orig Shop Vacs--can the newer pleated filters fit in place of the bags? That should improve the performance of the machine.
