I have a couple of questioms about the Kirby Heritage 2 from our church. 1. can it be used without a paper bag inside the cloth one? (our church has a limited budget and we dont have a vac shop in town)(I have also tried using Hoover A bags and cutting the hole bigger, the top of the bag blew out) 2. how far should the brush be adjusted out from the bottom plate? THANK YOU!!!!

1. It can, but it will be a mess to empty. I would replace the Mini-EmTor with a true Sani-EmTor to make it easier. One from a Classic, Classic Omega, or Classic III would be perfect. 2. The brushroll should be adjusted so that when you run a credit card across the rug plate, it just barely scrapes the bristles. Hope this helps. |

Hello Dustin. Doug is correct, in that it will cause havoc with the zipper. As Joe mentioned, you could put one of the pocket bags onto an older Sani-Emtor. Pocket bags are still available in the original colors of the 1HD, 3CB & 2CB. Now a black corduroy bag is for use on the 562 thru the 1CB. (Presently the D80 [[green]] bag is still available. (My hunch is until stock is depleted, as when I place my orders, they [[Kirby]] refer to the 'new black bag' as the replacement for pre-1976.) As for the bristles' setting, they should protrude ¨û" out beyond the rug plate surface. Hope this helps. Cheers & hagd all. Bill |
