Hey Guys

Just ordered this from work - it cost me £58.75 ( so about $90 odd). Apparently Truvox is a devision of Tacony- looks VERY much like it owes its origins to the Panasonic Jet Flo.....

Unboxing pics to follow- hopefully tomorrow evening :).

Yes it definitely looks to be a Panasonic.. probably seeing the undersides will be more telling

It's related to Panisonic more in the principle of it

But the shapes and formations of the plastic around the top where the chrome goes into body tells me that it's more Tacony/Riccar/Simplicity/Belvedere than it is Panasonic. don't forget, the very first Riccar/Necci uprights were a direct ripoff from the Panasonic Jet-Flo uprights. By and large, it's still a good design after all these years. How long has it been anyway? Surely someone knows Panasonic history better than me. I'm thinking it's been over 30 years now for this basic design, yet nary an acknowledgement to the Hoover Dial-a-matic, the first clean air upright on record.

Those are very nice vacuums! You got a great deal on it. Those are indeed a new version of an early Riccar vacuum design. They're very easy to push and pretty quiet! They have an interesting sound to them. Those are very nice brushrolls (love those stiff replaceable brush-strips).

Simple, reliable, and easy to maintain. The tool setup on yours is different from the ones I've seen in America. It's nice that they're included. :)

What's the wattage on yours?

I do believe Vaclensa used to make a version of this - the ProClean upright. We had one in a shop I used to work at. Great vacuum.

Still very impressed.....

Corey

Id prety much agree- the floating head combined with the fantastic brushroll make it very easy to push, and its not overly noisy for a modern upright (much more acceptable than any current model from a certain company beginning with D for example).

Its 1200W so approx 5A @ 240V- I guess thats round 10A @ 120V .

If I had to find a negative point to it the hose is pretty short- this appears to have been addressed on the new version tho.

See link ;)

even the little vent on the front bottom is like the Panasonic, and the placement of the on/off switch although Panasonic sometimes have them on the handle depending on the model.
