I am looking for something that is like sweet air to use in my kirby 518.

Any ideas where I can get an actual can of it, or other scents that work?

What scent was the sweet air?

I have one of the older Sweet-Aires, Cedar Pine scent.

Newer Kirby odorific II should work, it comes in Cinnamon (strongest and best scent IMO), Vanilla (second best), and this industrial flower crap (yuck).

ok?

Are you interested in selling?

Or where can I buy the new kirby ones?

Sorry, the Sweet-Aire is not for sale.

The Odorific II is available on eBay, and any local shop that specializes in Kirby's. I got mine from my friend at the Kirby service center.

history?

I will go and look for some. Thanks!

Is the plastic bottle before they used metal oil cans?
Yours looks mint!

My bottle is actually glass, it has a date on the bottom of 1945 (possibly 46), though I think it was made a bit later. They went from glass, litho-tin, and back to glass. It's also unused, maybe only used once or twice, but I doubt it. The cap feels like ceramic, not like plastic. It makes a nice little "ping-ping" sound if you tap it with a small little screwdriver head.

The Odorific II is in a very tiny little glass bottle, but it is very potent and lasts a long time. You can take a cotton ball (or I take one of my mom's makeup pads, works a bit better), put a few drops on, and put it between the disposable bag and the outer bag, I find that if you place it in one of the top corners, you can smell the scent much better since more air escapes from there.

I think my two bottles were less then $5.

you have no idea!

I have a chocolate lab, and she sheds so much. My vacuums cant take it!

The bagless vacs are covered in hair, it sticks to the plastic!

If you bought two of these, it would be $7.04 (including cost of both bottles, shipping for the first, and an extra $0.80 for the second bottle).
