..is not actually a Miele. It's a European Panasonic with "Miele" stamped on it. The new Miele upright range are actually made by Miele and are actually really good. The Miele canister's are fantastic vac's too. Currently, we're using my Mum's 1992 Panasonic upright as our daily driver. 17 years old and it still runs fabulously! I have a Sebo X4 upright and a Miele Solution S5281 canister that I mainly use but they're in the process of being moved at the moment so I can't get to them right now. |

you may also want to consider a kirby from the generation series. They are still made in America and the g-series are self propelled and light as a feather to push. They also have great micro filtration bags too. |

I don't look at it as destroying. I look at it as enhancing. Adding a little bit of sparkle, of excitement, that je ne sais quoi. LOL |

"I know so cause my twin brother told me so". So that's who lives in the hillbilly shack at the foot of your garden? Oh yeah, I got me one of them twins, too. Folks say we look alike but I just don't see it...mostly he stays in the basement but he came up tonight to watch Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte with me & the boys... |

and a TV and a cable connection and electricity but those are mere details. :-) What with all the much more fascinating & engrossing things I can do in my spare time with vacuums & such I've gotten out of the habit of turning on or watching the TV until...ever since the day this past November when I realized I even get TCM up here it has become my favorite station. 30+ years of basic cable and I never knew - whacks forehead with fist. Now I buy the damn Saturday paper - or liberate one from the newspaper reading rack at Mickey D's or A&W - to get the TV channel guide so I know what's playing 24/7 all week long so I can program the hard disc recorder. Many of the all time favorites that I have on old VHS tapes are being replaced by these excellent restored commercial free Turner offerings. The Hard Disc recorder I got on a whim 2 years ago holds 350 Hours in HQ quality. I can edit & chapter them then burn the dvd. Now that I'm back at work 9-5 this recorder is a heaven sent device. Did you catch any of the Anne Southern day two weeks ago? 7 movies back to back. And finally I have a fabulous print of The Fountainhead... I think the glasses are standard issue around hallowe'en time if not year 'round. Try the Dollar Stores. I was put in glasses at the age of 7 - by the time I hit high school my lenses looked very much like these coke bottle bottoms. then I discovered extreme high index refractive glass and progressive lenses. I can barely believe my new lenses are less than 1/8" thick at the rim. That also means they are about 1/32" at the center. I don't want to remember how much they cost - say about a complete doublewide garage door installaion's worth, with openers. :-( Dave |
