Wanted a Hoover Convertible for a Daily Runner and did not want to use any of my vintage convertibles. Did some ebaying and found this commerical model.

Final shot, this model has a 50ft 3-wire ground cord. And now for the bad news, this model is made in China. Holy Buckets!!!!
Boss Hoover has to rolling over in his grave!!!!!

Could you pop the hood..?

I wanna see how close the motor looks to the original...

I'm glad that they're still being made.. sucks that it's in China.
Who knows -- with them being made for pennies on the dollar in China; that opens the door to *maybe* have them made for domestic use... you know, change the bag material, change the color of plastic pellets that go into the injection molding machine... Maybe TTI will follow Eureka's suit and bring out a simple, easy to use cleaner á la the model 1934 Boss.

...Wishful thinking, I know...

Fred, When I get home this weekend I will pop the "Hood" and take some pictures and post. And yes it sounds just like the convertible did and it has the Beats as It Sweeps agitator.
