As most of you know, my life partner of 40 years, Arlee del Rosario, passed away in January. I am going to have to mercilessly downsize because I can no longer afford our large two-bedroom apartment alone.

I'm already deep into the process of "uncovering, discovering, discarding." With the help of friends I've taken four truckloads of stuff to Goodwill and have sent nine large boxes of more stuff to the Philippines.

Now I'm delving into the vacuum cleaners. The following are free for the taking to whomever can come get them. (I live in Los Angeles.) There will be more to come in the weeks ahead but this is the first load. Consider it safe to assume that if you don't see it, I don't have it.

PLEASE, NO REQUESTS FOR SHIPPING. I just can't deal with that.

Charles, I'm so sorry to hear about Arlee's passing. Sending my deepest condolences to you and hoping you will find comfort in the memories of good times you had together. May he rest in peace.
Hoping the collectors in your area will come and get the vacuums and parts you are offering. I did see a few in the pictures that I would be interested in, but I'll have to pass on them since shipping is not available. But I do hope you find homes for all of them.
Again, deepest condolences to you,
Jeff

I, too, send my condolences  and best wishes for as you turn to a new page in your life.

Change is usually never easy.  I hope you vacuum items find great new homes.

I'm sure those floors will never see wax and a polisher like they have under your care.

So sorry Charles, I didn't know. Very well understand after my last year, giving up my 2 bedroom apartment of 43 years and now probably moving out of state soon, so thinning again.😭. Best of luck, not fun.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
I don’t know what to say, other than to echo what’s already been said. It’s very generous of you to offer your collection, or parts of it, to others.
Like John, I’m going to need to thin out my collection as well. But, for much different reasons.
I wish you all the best in your new chapter.

As I'm not here very often just learned of your loss. I can relate, 10 years with Charles and me, but 40 for the two of you wow, that's awesome. Know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry to read of your partner's passing, Charles.

You've got some treasures there and no doubt they'll be easy to re-home!

Donate and they will find a home.

While yes you are trying to pass these along to fellow collectors…if no takers come up…donating to the thrift stores is always a better option than the trash. They have the venue to market the machines and hopefully someone interested will put them to use in a collection.

There are also ways to post them, locally to sell or give away for free.

It’s hard to give them away to non collectors. But I get it. It has to be done.

Most of all Best wishes on continued healing from your loss.

Jonathan Schuyler
