Looking at the photos in that eBay listing, that's a generic, third-party hose. The handle is the wrong shape and has a sliding suction relief control, instead of the knob. Also, at least to my knowledge, genuine Electrolux hoses did not have on/off switches.
All that said, I've got a couple of replacement hoses like that, and they're not terrible. To me, the biggest aggravation is the suction relief, which likes to come open on its own. That's easily remedied by one of those rubber bands they put around bunches of broccoli or celery at the grocery store. And I actually like having the on/off switch on the hose handle, except when I'm using a SideKick. Then it becomes like a puzzle to get all those switches (vacuum, hose, SideKick) turned on. |
