I ran across this on the old YouTube and thought it was something people might enjoy seeing if you never ran across it before. It's an old British programme that is rather famous called "The Secret Life Of Machines" and the host goes over the history on particular machines and appliances and shows how they work and all that stuff in a rather entertaining way.

Love this!

My grandfather taped this episode first and subsequently all the others for me in the early 1990s. I watched those programs over, and over, and over.

So glad they are now on YouTube! Including bits that had been cut from the episodes when PBS (I believe) aired them in the states, presumably due to run time restrictions.
