Question for our cleanerphile friends in Europe: I was searching for videoclips of Philips vacuum cleaners on YouTube and I saw that some of the more deluxe models of cylinder vacuums feature cool LED lights on the front of the carpet nozzle. The weird thing is that there is no electrical wiring coming from the hose and wands to power the LED lights. So I imagine that they are powered by batteries inside the nozzle. If indeed the LED lights are powered by batteries, how are they turned on and off? I don’t see any toe-touch button on the nozzle which might turn the lights on and off.

And have European users found that the batteries have to be changed frequently? I can imagine people forgetting to turn off the LED’s and storing the cleaner with the lights left on.
