So, years ago, I had to replace the switch on my Royal 500 Series after it got stuck and I tried freeing it with a mallet. The replacement switch came from a 103 Model. Today, I just found out the switches they used for the Royal Dirt Devil Hand Vacs are Defond Branded!

Specs:
4 or 5 Pin
125 Vac
4 Amp
Rare?

Hey

No it's not by any means rare. The switch was likely mass produced and put on many appliances or items.

It's a simple slide switch produced and sold for less than 1/2 a penny in value why would it ever be rare?

Thought it was rare

Because I couldn’t find any listings other than a lot of them. I’m thinking they’re discontinued because I looked on the Defond Website and could;’t find anything.

Just the course of time. Companies, parts, products, all go obsolete and are lost. That is why we collect. To preserve, share, educate what has been forgotten.
