My Hoover Elite model U5093-940 fan blew up when vacuuming. It is now in several pieces. The part number is 38755-007 aka 43565006. Motor appears intact and continued working after the fan broke. Casing is cracked.

I had the same thing happen on my other Hoover 4261-930 about 10 years ago (Aside: both appear to be rather part-compatible). For the 4261-930, a local vacuum store had a fan that fit.

All my local vacuum stores have closed. I'm looking on the internet to purchase another 38755-007 aka 43565006 fan. However, most/all vendors don't have this part anymore. Is there another fan model or compatible part that I can purchase to repair the U5093-940?

Thanks for your help!

They show up on eBay maybe 3-4 times per year. Just save a search and wait for someone to list one and put the vac in storage until someone lists a part. For the cracked fan chamber that will have to be plasti-welded to fix the crack.

There is a newer model of fan impeller with 20 blades under part #43565006 but that is also NLA.

Members here were just discussing 3D printing obsolete vacuum fans. If someone has one to make a template from and can start reproducing these fan parts reliably, it could be a lucrative business.
