I've had the same profile pic for more than a decade, but yesterday, I came across this one--on my work computer of all places--I decided it was time for a refresh. I took this photo of my cat, Lily, while I was in the midst of reassembling my Heritage '84 after giving it a thorough cleaning the day after I'd acquired it, and Lily decided she needed to investigate the bag. Thus I call the photo "She's Into Vacuums". I think Lily looks good in orange. Click the thumbnail to see a full-sized version.

It's a cute photo. I'm sure that bag was very comfortable for her :) I have someone's pet cat that is in a pattern just like that that I feed and interact with. I have had a couple cats that were very interested in vacuums and the smells that were on them, my Husky was also like that too, would smell on the brushroll and the bag area at what was there |

Every time I get a vacuum, our cat has to thoroughly inspect it.
He was especially fond of the Bissell Air Ram that I brought home recently. He kept smelling it, rubbing his head against it, and even rolling on and near it. It makes me wonder if the original owner of that vacuum had a cat. Our guy definitely seemed to like something about it! |

Yeah, whenever I bring home a new 'vacquisition', which is far less frequent than it once was, Lily has to check it out and give it her seal of approval. Whenever I run a vacuum, Lily will stay in the room and observe the proceedings from a discrete distance. My other cat, Pinot, wants nothing to do with them, and usually runs and hides when she sees me getting one ready to run. They're both sweet, but their temperaments could not be any more different.
