I recently saw a posting on FB Marketplace for a Self-Propelled vacuum--A Riccar 8900 which don't think is correct. Did Riccar make a self-propelled vacuum?

No

They never did. They must be confused because the brushtrips are so long and the motor is very powerful where it'd drag the floor by itself. But none of them ever had a transmission.

Agreed

Those 8900 series were mean with a new belt, they definitely do take you for a ride. I've seen a lot of people say their Sharks are self propelled too 😂

I just let people think what they want to tbh 😂 if Shark made something with a transmission you know that'd fail first thing
