I got this for $8 or $10 and it works well, all it needed was a belt. I'm pretty sure this has 6000 series parts on it which means it's probably not original.

When I worked at a Simplicity dealer before, I had swapped parts out from the old versus the new because they don't make the same matching parts anymore. Alot of not all of the companies do this now. They work but I just wasn't really a fan of the looks, I would've rather just had the customers trade in their old Simplicity for a new one instead.

Not a bad find. They probably did what vac shops do to Kirbys is just swap parts over from other models when parts are NLA. Simplicity vacs people seem to hold onto more. Don't see them show up in thrifting too often. I think I was only able to grab one Simplicity, off eBay as a bundle deal, and it is really beat up. Looks like it was in a tornado. |
