I decided to hit the local Savers today, for old guy discount day.
To my surprise, one of my vacuums that I always keep an eye open for was just being put out on the floor. A Eureka Mighty Mite! I don't know...people seem to have good things to say about them. Plus, I think they're cute. Plus, I never saw one in this color before, and I love it! The positives are that it appears to be in great shape. Even inside the bag compartment is pretty immaculate. And, the motor sounds great. The negative is that the only thing it came with is the hose. Would anyone happen to have the wands and tools for one of these that you'd be willing to sell? Another thing I like about these, is that, if I'm not mistaken, you can get HEPA bags for them. Don't some models also have a HEPA post-motor filter option too? This is one that I'm pretty happy about finding, and can't wait to play with it! I think it was $8 well spent. | ||

Seller post motor filters. I don't know about hepa bags but they sell cloth bags you can use and take out and dump when full.
I had a sanitaire with post motor filter. I used a cloth bag and it worked well. I donated it because I had a bunch of vacuums I didn't really have time to sell. I went to the store I donated all my vacs to and 2 weeks all 10 vacuums were sold. I'm glad I could help the thrift store out and people got good running vacuums cheap. | ||

Looking at bags for it, I see Type N, and I see Type MM. How do I know which type this one uses? I didn’t get the manual with it, and it doesn’t tell me on the data tag.
V.A.C. does make a HEPA bag in at least one of those. Is this orange Model 3671-A less common? I see Model 3670 everywhere, but not so much the 3671. | ||

Indeed, Sanitaire still sells the Mighty Mite. You can probably get all the attachments (including Eureka World Vac small tools) from them directly. Including a nice black metal telescopic wand. See video below:

Love these machines
I'm not really a canister person but I've always liked Mighty Mites. I'm surprised yours is 12 amps, never seen one like that before. I've heard that they did used upright motors which made sense but I only thought they were 10 amps. I bought one for our trailer almost a few years ago but ended up not keeping it because I found out they took away the tabs to fit on a HEPA filter which was a deal breaker for me. I bought a Bissell BGC3000 instead which can still use a HEPA filter. Although I did miss that on the Mighty Mite I was able to lock the hose onto the unit, the Bissell doesn't do that. I probably would've kept the Mighty Mite if the blower feature wasn't horrible.

That's interesting, that you've never heard of a 12 amp version. I had no idea what they had for power, but I had never seen one this color.
Somewhere, maybe on the Eureka website, someone had asked the question of what the difference is between the more common 3670 and the 3671, which mine is. They responded that the 3671 can use a shoulder strap. As I write this, I'm currently giving it a little more thorough cleaning. Not that there's really anything to clean! But, if nothing else, I like to wipe down any used vacuum with sanitizing wipes. The only real cleaning it needs, is that I have to try to remove a couple of white paint scuffs, where someone scraped it against something. I'm guessing it's pretty new. Can we tell from the serial number what year it was made? | ||

To those of us "past a certain age", 2015 seems like a month ago. But, in vacuum years, being almost ten years old, I have to say, this is in pretty great shape! I'm so thankful for the information about the color! I wonder if I ever saw it on Amazon. I don't remember. If I did, I bet I liked the color! Do you think the model number would be exclusive to this Amazon model, in this color? Because I see very little to no information about a 3671-A. Hey...could the "A" stand for Amazon? I even e-mailed a place about a wand, to see if it would fit this model, and they had no information about it. Interesting stuff! I like it even more now, knowing that it's something a little unusual. Kind of like its new owner! | ||

Getting there, little by little.
My V.A.C. HEPA bags arrived today. Yesterday, the HEPA exhaust filter and pre-motor filters arrived. And, I went full Sanitaire with the wand and tools. I don’t know how soon I’ll get them. I ordered all of that from the Sanitaire website. The only piece I didn’t see on their site was the tool holder that clips onto the wand. I may have to find one of those on eBay or something. Abandoning common sense once again, I’ve spent more on putting this “bargain” vacuum back together than what I could have gotten a brand new Mighty Mite for. But, I guess I can’t look at it that way. I got an uncommon color. And, the Sanitaire telescopic wand and tools should be a step up from what would have originally come with a Mighty Mite. | ||

Barry - Don't buy that tool holder on Amazon, they're charging about DOUBLE what the normal price is if you walked into a vac shop.
David/Suckolux - This version of the Mighty Mite that uses the MM bags did originally use the upright motor that the Eureka Victory uprights used. There is a rubber block that protects the body from the belt pulley on the end of the motor. However, since Midea bought Eureka from Electrolux AB, I do believe they just use a ordinary single stage Chinese motor now. These were nice vacuums....until Midea bought Eureka and ruined it. The lack of quality that goes into these now, and all the customer complaints about the hose, wands and floor tool breaking so easily, and no longer being able to use the HEPA Filter on the exhaust, would make me say "no" to this. Especially since the Simplicity Jill is only slightly more money, has a HEPA Filter, and the only feature missing is the ability to use the vacuum as a blower, I would buy that new over a new Mighty Mite. | ||

I ended up buying the tool holder from someone on eBay. They made me an offer that I couldn't refuse.
Hopefully, my Mighty Mite will hold up pretty well. It certainly won't be getting abused. But, I do want to put it into rotation for whole-house, straight suction cleaning. Kirbylux77; Do you know when they went to the Chinese motors? Based on the serial number, mine appears to have been built in 2015. | ||

Great! You don’t have to attach this tool holder to the wand if you don’t want to. The trick to getting all three tools to ride along on the canister is this: attach the crevice tool to the single nub of the tool holder facing one way, then attach the dusting brush and separate upholstery nozzle to the other two nubs facing the other way. Then slide the crevice tool (while still stored on the holder) into the back of the canister’s handle and voila! you have all the small tools on board!
