I can tell you the reason the Penncrest is so outrageously priced - the seller is Luke Gebhart - his username on here is ohiovac. Same as his Ebay handle. He is one of Tom Gasko's clique, and all the drama that goes on with that crowd. Best to be avoided entirely!
I would bet good money Tom Gasko convinced Luke and Levi that this cleaner was worth a fortune and priced it accordingly. He will learn soon enough that his tired, old, scratched up, off brand Hoover from the mid 60's won't sell so quickly with that kind of pricing. |

Kenny - You know perfectly well the constant drama that surrounds Luke, Tom and all the collectors in the Facebook groups. Last time I checked, you were in that inner circle too. So don't dare try to deny it. I personally haven't checked those groups out in YEARS....can't be bothered. Life is too short!
John - If what you have heard about Luke is true, then good. As far as I am concerned though, ANYONE who associates with Tom Gasko, or who did in the past, can stay far away from me! I want no part of it! |

I'm sure you know what has happened to me..I won't give the m public satisfaction..But. The St. Louis contingent , well. you wouldn't believe it if I told you.
But, I simply ignore most of it. But, I have documentation, etc.... I stay far under that toxic radar. But, I believe I'm "Public Enemy #1" and my close friend, Tom Anderson is "#2"! I'm in very good company there. |

Tom gasko is s stand up contributes more to the vacuum collectors than anyone on this board bar none. The nature of vacuum collectors is the drama type.
Tom is not drama period. Drop the name dropping and accusing people of things. The seller wants way too much. Going any further in the topic is unnecessary and is creating drama. Lay off watch the name dropping and just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you can't act like a fool. |

Tacony kicked him to the curb and he fled town. Ask some of the reputable collectors, they have the real story. |

There are many who are no longer friends with a certain individual and crowd due to awful occurrences just 5 months ago. Many lost who they thought was a great friend. But the ship has sailed.
We all try to see the good in things, meet and judge people for ourselves. Some times new friendships can be formed but for how long we never know. All curtains eventually close and it closed hard this time! I wasn't even in town to see it, just heard the aftermath and I was unfriended by some who I thought was a good friend all because I was back home attending a wedding and didn't make the travel for an annual convention. I am not, not contributing to any of the drama, etc. Not naming, etc. I've been through the wringer for years. I, too, lost friends, yrs ago. I know plenty. But will not get in trouble with my mouth. I do hope someone who'll want that Penncrest csn/will pY decent price. Until then, that price will dangle.⅕ |
