Hello folks. I'm thinking of buying a Hoover Heavy Duty Model 700. It's in good condition, but the plastic bottom plate is broken. Does anyone know what model # the part is? I've seen a few on ebay, but more than 1 model #. Thanks.

Michael T

That machine is not worth $120. Judging by the horrible quality photos, I'm willing to bet there's a crack in the base of the machine which would render it useless. You're also going to spend another $25-40 on a bottom plate.

I sell used Convertibles for that price, but they have been professionally cleaned and include many new parts such as belts, bags, and everything in between.

The best idea is to wait so you don't end up with a basket case of a machine. I have 3 Convertibles (1 Decade, 1 Guardsman, & 1 Convertible) currently listed that are in far better condition functionally.
