Saw this set at my friend's thrift store in Plano, the Plaid Tag at Ave 5 and Park.
Did not get a picture as I did not think of this site since it was not a vacuum.
But today I realize someone here might like it.
Was only 19.99 for the set and it was in good shape - just needed a cleanup and a polish job.
It is the heavy metal set - not the newer plastic one.
All chrome with brown trim. It would probably need an overhaul becoming a daily driver.

Nice find, Rob!
That sounds like the mixer I grew up with. Once we had our own home, I felt like I needed one of my own. I ended up acquiring two over the years.
Some of us would absolutely enjoy seeing a picture or two of it! I may have even posted a picture of mine in the "Household" category when I first got it.
I'd say that's a pretty good deal, too! I paid considerably more for mine; especially since I had to pay for shipping.

The one for sale looks just like my chrome as shown in post 7 of this thread:

Picture 3 depicts the brown colored trim.
It has the same accessories too.
It just needs a cleaning and a polish to make it look as good as mine.
The price is outstanding but I do not have room for a second set..

Okay. I've seen that version too.
I got the one with the brushed metal trim around the front Sunbeam logo, because that was exactly like the one from my childhood.
And, the trim might be black, as opposed to brown.

About 3 years ago, a friend on the washer site found a brand new in the box, never used Sunbeam 1-80 mixer at a home where the contents were being removed. He knew I was looking for a Sunbeam so he sent me the mixer.

I've got two variations of the chrome Mixmaster. One is essentially like the one in Reply #1. The other one is a Mixmaster Vista that has a brown base and a work light under the motor unit, which also is brown.

Both mixers were cobbled together. The Vista came to me with no bowls, but was otherwise complete, including the dough hooks. I first sourced a set of glass ones from two different thrift shops, but later found a set of stainless ones for it. The glass bowls now reside with the other one, which was sourced "Johnny Cash" style, one piece at a time.

They're both great mixers. If I were to get rid of one of the mixers, I'd keep the Vista and put it on the chrome base.

I've seen these chrome ones with glass bowls, did they come with glass too? I don't think I'd ever have this one, metal bowls give me the heebie jeebies, like nails on a chalkboard, I hate that scraping sound.

If you want to bury yourself in Mixmaster mixers, just go on shopgoodwill.com. They often go unsold all the time for $5. Last one I bought was only $8 to ship it from Wyoming and I got it solely because it had a bowl I needed for another mixer (miraculously it didn't break in shipping). I sometimes see them in my actual Goodwill but they always want $30+ for them and the motor is well past cooked and they need a complete overhaul.

Any of these era mixers would need to at least be dismantled, cleaned out, and relubed if they are going to be used on a routine basis.

By now the grease in most of the gearboxes will have been hardened to the consistency of tar.
Running them with firm grease puts extra strain on the motor, which in some case will cause it to bog and start smelling bad. Add in thick material to mix and bad things can happen.
I have a Mixmaster in harvest gold that is like this - beautiful on the outside though.
