Riccar/Simplicity have a vacuum attachment accessory kit. It has a 12 foot hose.
It's also has accessories everything less than you can get a regular kirby hose. I've attached a link to one for sale. I've converted a couple of these to kirby hours. CLICK HERE TO GO TO Lesinutah's LINK on eBay |

I am not aware of any longer hoses for the Kirby, other than what you are doing and bodging multiple hoses together. Perhaps maybe a pool vacuum hose and then fitting Kirby hose ends on it but other than that, not sure what else would look so uniform and tidy. The earlier Kirbys came with a shoulder sling and you just carried the motor part around with you after converting it to hose mode, but I do not know of anyone that ever used that. I believe it was long since phased out by the time the G series came out. Just keep in mind the longer the hose increases the more you lose suction strength. With the Kirby's motor you shouldn't notice a big deal about it, but with other vacuums you might notice a significant loss of suction. |
