James Kirby submitted and patented a non-electric vacuum with a visual window (not the ezee) 1916-1918 please see a sketch of it. I just wonder if anyone knows the brand it was manufactured under. i don't believe it was the Vacuette as i have never seen one with a window.
vital rand, apex,? Thanks David

I believe it was Vital-Rand, as I have one, but without the window.
Vital-Rand were prototypes for the Vac-U-Ette, working test models designed to see what housewives thought. Jim Kirby was known for loaning various machines to people in the Cleveland area to get their reactions. Primarily Jim Kirby worked in two fields. Vacuum cleaners with Scott & Fetzer and Washing machines with Apex. |
