I'm halfway through with the restoration of a 514. The original metal fan has a chip in one of the blades, so I'm going to see if a machine shop can shave away the rest of the blades to make it more balanced because I'd hate to lose a six blade fan. In the meantime, I have an 119078A Amodel fan that I got off Amazon. The back of the fan rubs against the screws that hold the bearing plate to the chassis. I do have the brass spacer installed.

I almost wondered if I was sent the wrong fan bc googling 119078 comes up with 505-515 as well as 516-LII. I will say I have a NOS 10 blade metal fan (later 500-Classic?), can this work with a pre-516?

The basic impeller fan is the same for both groups, but it's the driveshaft that differs. For models 505-515, a spacer is also used to shim the fan in place.

Length of spacer and shaft

Does anyone happen to know the length of the brass spacer as well as the length of the shaft for 505-515 fan kit (119087A)? I ordered specifically 119087A but wanted to make sure the kit is correct by comparing measurements.

The bag it came in was illegible as to the part# and compatible model series.

my 519 is actually using a modern fan as the metal fan that came with it was missing a good chunk of one of the finns, the machine works just as well, since a kit comes with all these extra washers I was able to make the modern plastic fan work on the machine really easy
