Heritage

I don't think I have seen the box between the straight wand and railing.

I believe the Heritage '84 was just a decal package for Kirby's 75th anniversary, which put special logos on the hubcaps, bag topper, belt lifter, and handle grip, without adding any functional changes from the original Heritage. They're both model 1HD. My sense is it was just a bit of marketing, like the Gsix, which got a new decal on the handle every year (e.g., Performance, 2000 Limited Edition, and 2001 Limited Edition). By contrast, the "Turbo" logo on some (most?) Heritage vacuums indicated that the unit shipped with a turbo brush.

Differences...

To me it looks like the handle on the right is a little higher than the one on left. Darker gray handle and a little slimmer also. How'd I do? Both stunning by the way.

Thanks guys for your input . Do you know if there was a 1984 specific Manual for the heritage 84?

David,

No... the Heritage 84 continued to be packaged with the 1983 revised owner's manual.

Blaze on this forum would probably know any and all differences.
I remember him having a great liking to the Heritage 84 and had bought all the ones I had rescued from the closed Plano service shop.
I cannot remember his user name though.

I am with Human, probably just decal differences and marketing.
I do not recall anything different when I was fixing the ones I had before I shipped them.

As for the optional accessories available to purchase, I may be mistaken but wasn't the Turbobrush discontinued & replaced with the Zippbrush late into the run of the Heritage 84? Plus I would bet the optional hair clipper set also was discontinued with the start of the Heritage 84.

Any input Ben?

The March 1983 manual still shows both the turbo brush and the hair clippers. My attachment box from 1984 has a redesigned portable handle . I might be wrong on this but I believe there was another version after the March 83 revised manual.. I’m still on the lookout :) so far I have the two released in 1981 a 1982 and a 1983 manual . My 1984 box is missing the manual unfortunately.

The turbobrush was also available for the Heritage II for a short time until it was discontinued in favor of the Zippbrush. I believe you had the option for either one when buying an earlier Heritage II back then. But I just know they had them in black instead of grey and some Heritage IIs' I'd see online like eBay would come with a turbobrush.

Was a rolling change made on heritages. There trying to get more people to use accessories with the kirby. I do know I believe h2legend black you could get the vacuette attached to the front of the handle fork. I'm also pretty sure the h2l2 had the burgundy vacuette in a similar fashion.
The turbo or zipp brush was chrome as it's the only non g series zipp brush.
