A month or so ago a couple of us were trying to order a replacement hose for the Lux '89. When I called Aerus Canada they told me it was on back order and they would call me when it arrived. So far I have heard nothing....has anyone else that ordered one heard anything?

I talked to the guy at Aeris here and it appears that the 3 cases of them that used to be here have disappeared. He says he thinks they ended up in Saskatoon but, knowing the guy up there, he probably threw them out. He was going to check anyway so I'll post it if he finds them.

Best suggestion I can give you is find one of the power hoses from the Discovery Advantage (the one with the chrome ring on the machine end - not the moulded end) and exchange hose ends as the end of the power hose for the 88 will fit it very easily.

Gary,
Aerus told me the same thing. The fact of the matter is that these were discontinued about 10 years ago, give or take. Aerus gave me the part number, but when I went and entered it into their inventory system, it didn't even come up as a valid part number. If it is a currently available/stocked inventory, the system will list a price and show that it is active. They know darn well that unless old stock is found hidden in some place, these are no longer available. By telling us that they are on back order, it was a way for them to avoid an embarrassing situation and admitting they were wrong in the first place.

LOL - Aeris doesnt have a clue when it comes to older machines anyway. They got rid of everyone in the company that knew its history and how to do anything with the old machines. The garbage they put out now is testimony to that. Does anyone actually think that the new ones will still be functional in 75 years like the model XII's are.

What's the part number? What about a aftermarket model?

I haven't found any aftermarket hoses for the Lux '89. Lots of aftermarket hoses for the U.S. models though.
