Hi!

I just bought a Hoover 450. The motor just hums when switched on. Out of curiosity, how do I fix it? Would a Convertible motor fit in it?

When I plugged the motorhead into the wall, it worked.

Thats odd. Sounds like maybe a switch issue. No a convertible motor isn't even close you would need a parts machine for sure. Would be beneficial to check the carbon brushes and commutator just in case
