Hi! I'm from England but I've always loved the Elite series over in the States. From my understanding they had an incredibly long and convoluted run, which I've always found interesting. What was the first model/series? I know the final model in the mid '00s was some sort of Caddy Vac.

Thanks!

Hi Jett,

I know little about the Hoover Elites, but since no one else has responded at this point, and I like data collection I'm posting some information I found online.

Hoover USA's Elite series was launched in April 1988. It consisted of the 200, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600, & 700; although these may have been introduced at different times throughout the year. I didn't do an exhaustive search on years.

Hesco, Inc. or Quincy, Illinois, at one time had posted schematics on its website. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate them, but I did copy the model numbers that were listed and had posted them on another VL thread—all categorized as Elites, but actually a variety of model names. It is likely incomplete as I've found out with other brands, but it provides a framework. Anyway, I looked each up to find its model name and key features that were mentioned in online newspaper ads.

Hope it's of interest to you.
