I forgot where I left the carpet attachment for the Kirby and came around the corner with a laundry basket and kicked them rug attachment, barefoot. It sat me down. I started to swell up and couldn't walk that well. Brent said I needed a trip to the ER. We went. They did X-rays. I broke my small toe. That's going to hurt for a while.

I feel bad for laughing, Andy. I hope you feel better soon.
But, it sounds so much like something I would do, that it just made me laugh. My broken toes story (the only bones I've ever broken) involved a piano. How do you miss a piano, you might ask. I guess the punchline could be; I didn't miss it! Again, hope it heals well, and quickly. |

Takes me back to a former vac shop owner whose mother was buffing Kirby castings. A D80 rug nozzle slipped out of her hand and went directly into her foot. It healed after a few months, but it was awful. |

I am a bit surprised that the manuals for the G series do not have recommendation of wearing house shoes. In the video 'manuals' the operators are shown with shoes on but they are not specifically recommended. |

Ouch! I once dropped a Dirt Devil car vac (the black 12v copy of the iconic red hand vacs) on my big toe, barefoot on concrete (garage floor), the bottom of the box fell out as I was moving it, and the corner of the nozzle hit my toe just behind the first knuckle. Definitely broke it completely but I don't do Dr's unless I'm dead or dying. Couldn't get a shoe on that foot for a few days. Years later I can feel the break, it healed about 1/8" off center. Gets a little stiff but no lasting pain anyway.
