Hi, everyone, its Liam, I have some photos of my Kirby model 505 running. That in perfect condition 505 bag of mine looks absolutely gorgeous, especially when all puffed up.
Here they are!

Quick Note

As far as getting a factory original cord for a Kirby model 505, it's pretty much impossible to get now days, since they've for the most part rotted away into history or have at least some sort of dry rot on them. For now I'm Just using a brand new genuine Kirby replacement cord, which is black and has the squared adapter, until I find an original one. If one has an early replacement cord for a Kirby 505, which is black and has a rounded plug adapter, but doesn't have the Kirby logo on the plug, that would still be great and I'd buy it from anyone that has one. You know I do not necessarily need to have a factory original 505 cord, unless someone has one for sale. An early replacement cord for a Kirby 505-512 would still work and look nice on my 505.

Liam,

That is a very nice 505 bag indeed! Good luck finding the other parts you need to complete it and keep us posted.

Jim

Thats a great looking bag. If you go on ebay and ask sellers of vacuums with the bell plug on 505-515 you can ask just to buy the cord. What t s the worst they can say no? You'd be in the same boat as you have now.
Good luck.
