I find it hilarious how much Roll easies sell for on ebay, when on facebook marketplace, the last 3 of 4 listed, were for $35 or less, and only one here locally at $100. 3 of them were complete.

Pesonally,

I find them fascinating. The design, the color. Someday, I will proudly own one.

BTW, I never even bid on the one that sold.

Location, location, location. It's all about where you sell it. Same reason why when my local grocery store had snowblowers for sale, they sat there unsold well into july of the next year before they were taken off the sales floor. Nobody looking for a snowblower would go into a grocery store. Facebook marketplace is for local sales and most people do not live near the vacuum you want. Mostly everyone uses eBay and that's all they know about, so that's where you're gonna get the most traffic. Likewise you can make the reverse of that profitable for you, by being the person that looks in those out of the way places, you might find yourself a good deal that nobody else saw. I got my Westinghouse MC4 (no hose or tools) off eTsy for $20 several years back. Seller said they bought it to turn into a remote control robot but never got around to it (thank god)

I could just kick myself....

a couple of decades ago, I saw a Craigslist ad a city south of mine that was for at tan version of the vacuum you got. I saw it when I was just getting interested in collecting.

Oh well.
