Location, location, location. It's all about where you sell it. Same reason why when my local grocery store had snowblowers for sale, they sat there unsold well into july of the next year before they were taken off the sales floor. Nobody looking for a snowblower would go into a grocery store. Facebook marketplace is for local sales and most people do not live near the vacuum you want. Mostly everyone uses eBay and that's all they know about, so that's where you're gonna get the most traffic. Likewise you can make the reverse of that profitable for you, by being the person that looks in those out of the way places, you might find yourself a good deal that nobody else saw. I got my Westinghouse MC4 (no hose or tools) off eTsy for $20 several years back. Seller said they bought it to turn into a remote control robot but never got around to it (thank god) |
