Hi!

I just got a Hoover 425, and it is wonderful!

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how shiny this Hoover is supposed to be. This is a replacement bag for the 1950 replacement (it was last rebuilt in March 1950). It has the original attachments in the box.

Does anyone have an instruction manual for this Hoover they could share, along with photos of the original bag?

Is anyone able to make a replacement bag for this? How much would it cost?

I would love to see the wide range of replacement bags for the Hoover 425, as well as the original one(s).

Thanks!
Nick

Also, does the 425 have the Hoover "Servant for the Home" emblem on it? The paint seems to be flaking only on the area where that would be.

Hi:
Here is a link to my post for my model 425 Hoover with a flat belt: www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bi...

It appears the eBay seller or someone else previously buffed the casting. I too wonder just how shiny a brand new Hoover was.
