Has anyone heard of an Aerus 100th anniversary vacuum cleaner model line (tanks & uprights) for 2024? P.S. Aerus Canada, Inc. will be 100 in 2031. |

I haven't heard anything yet for them but I'm not a dealer. I have a 2023 Aerus Lux Legacy canister and absolutely love it. It's a very smooth and powerful runner. Love the black color. I wouldn't mind if the power nozzle was just a little more powerful though, it only uses a 1.2 amp motor. A serpentine belt system would also be neat.

Yeah when a company changes its name this many times this often, it's usually going through the "shareholder circus" and it's not long for this world. Impossible to run a business model that way, it's basically a life support machine with someone feeding it dollar bills like a broken candy machine. Hopefully someone can save the company and put it back to Electrolux name, we can only wish. Rather amazing Kirby didn't lose their name with the buyout and actually got a more sophisticated website and marketing stratagem. If that can happen to Electrolux that might be the trick to saving it. |

I highly believe the end is coming for Aerus/Electrolux at least for floor care that is. I've talked about this before, I think the best path for Aerus is to merge with Electrolux AB. This would be the best chance for not only them to succeed but also a chance to rename the vacuums Electrolux once again.

Guys, I have said it before and will say it again - Joseph P Urso has RUINED Electrolux! All he has ever done since he bought Electrolux is strip-mine the company of it's assets, and buy new companies to use their technologies and products to sell under the Aerus brand name rather than create new products themselves. This was a once-great company - if he kept the assets, and put money into product research to create new products, Aerus would be a better company than it would be under the path he has taken with the company. The fact that Kirby is thriving under Right Lane Industries' ownership is proof Aerus would be in a better position if they had done things differently.
There would have been no way to avoid selling the name - Electrolux AB wanted their name back in North America, and as the original founding company, Aerus likely would have lost a court battle if Electrolux AB fought them in court. But, in my opinion, if there was ever a company that needed to be bought out and saved from it's present ownership, Aerus would be it. The degree to which the company has been managed, the strip-mining and lack of investment into the company is SO BAD it should be considered criminal, and Mr Urso should be facing legal penalties. |

Rob Shore - Don't know if you were aware of this, but when the black 90th Anniversary models came out in 2014, the powerheads received a new belt and brushroll pulley that mates with the belt. The belts have more teeth in them now. The old belts were "Kenmore Style" cogged belts and the new ones are "Wessel Werk Style" cogged belts. If you change the brushroll in the new black powerheads, you must use the genuine brushroll OR if you buy generic, transplant the brushroll pulley to the new brushroll if the bearing is in good shape.
I have both the old style L shaped powerheads and the new black powerhead, and I can tell the black one is a bit quieter. I personally prefer cogged belts over serpentine, because the serpentine belts can get small pebbles and other particles stuck in them over time, which can reduce the lifespan of the belt if you don't pick them out regularly. |

Yes, Rob Walton I was perfectly well aware of that! Very easy to tell when I opened up the unit that there were many more cogs on the belt and pulleys compared to several years ago.
Aerus will never re-join with Electrolux AB. Electrolux AB is leaving the vacuum market. Aerus separated off, selling the Electrolux name back to the corporation. Eureka, Beam and Sanitaire have since been sold off as well from Electrolux AB. |
