Has anyone restored, cleaned up, or fix up a Kirby G3 motor unit before?

I refurbished a G3 a couple of summers ago. I didn't dig too deeply into the inner workings of the motor, since it was running okay, but I did have to knock the directional control on the transmission loose with a light tap of a hammer, since it was stuck in reverse. All of the G series machines, from the G3, right up through today's Avalier, are all pretty much the same under the skin. Most of the parts are interchangeable.

I just did one that I’m putting up for grabs. This one has absolutely everything with it, too. Brought it back to factory new.
