When Kirby introduced the all new red and gray color themed model 508 in 1948 , with a brand new “Kirby Kabinet” , they also introduced a new Suction Coupler. That suction coupler was very different to any of their previous or future models . It is larger in size and has an additional permanent part inside , probably to help with suction .
Attached is a picture of a 508 coupler and a “normal “ 509 coupler , Note: This came with a model 508 in a box with all the attachments . Has any one seen this coupler before ? | ||

508 coupler?

This is the coupler that came with the 505 tools I just got. Could this coupler have been used on the 505 as well? Jim | ||
