Hi all, I am curious why I cannot find a parts diagram for my 1779 or any model? I found a GW purchase, seemed like everything was good except, I found that this one part, an inlet, hinge plate was not correct. Someone had taken a similar part, that must have had a handle attached, and cut it down the best they could to fit. Well, it doesn't.

It did not have the PN and both wands were damaged.

Does anyone have a parts diagram, a parts source and/or the part I need. I do have a perfectly functional, straight suction model, I could part out.

Please help.

Maybe repairclinic.com can provide you with an electronic parts diagram.

Paul,

This is what the site said, "Sorry, no manuals or diagrams are available for this model".

Um,

Found this on my external hard drive. This was the only way I know how to attach them.

Garry,

I just recalled that Doug Smith has an old service manual that likely contains the 1700 Series schematics. You might reach out to him.

If you do and he does have them, please ask if he'll post them on VL for future reference for others, as well.

Still on the lookout

for that hinge part. On the diagram it is 6a, no part number. If someone can help me out, I would appreciate it.
