Ok, I am very confused. here is a Hoover Decade 80 for almost $600! What the hell! That is a ridiculous price. this machine is so fading from sun and i am 99% sure that this came from a smoking home. There are only three pictures of a person vacuuming the floor with it and they are asking $580. I don't know what the people think made that vacuum worth that much but i know that not how much is was old for new, not even close! I bet they will have that thing for sale for a while.
heres the link, don't accidently buy it! https://www.ebay.com/itm/266253458614QUE... |

![]() I just don't think people have an idea how much a vintage vacuum is worth. We get emails in our club account from the average person asking the value of their vintage vacuum quite frequently. For the most part the vac is something common, like a Kirby Classic for example. Yes, I think the person who listed this Decade is nuts. But in the average person's defense how would the average person know the value of their vacuum? Unless they researched it online. Even then. What is sad to me is when we get emails from people who want to sell or give away their parents or grandparents vacuum and in some cases it's obliviously sentimental to them. Because they mention it in the email. Usually, it's a common vac like a GE Swivel Top or convertible in very used condition. If the person doesn't want to throw it away or recycle the vac. Then, I don't understand why the person doesn't hold on to it as a secondary vac to clean out the car or something, If the vacuum is sentimental to them. |

Those pictures are priceless! Can we start posting pictures from the listings though? I always like to have a good laugh when looking at old threads after the listings expire. I remember the 500 Series Kirby that had chrome P trap for its handle. |

No.I have no time to rebuild. If I did it would be for an early Convertible. If I sold above model I probably have them with matching bag and would not picture them for wood floors as first seller did. |
