It's amazing what can be achieved with some boredom and spare parts that were laying around. I had this EBK340 from a Proteam backpack that had nowhere else to go except for the trash. Not wanting to throw it away, I had the idea to make a Rainbow pigtail fit in place of the original one. I really love the swivel neck compared to the Rainbow one. Plus I have the luxury of a geared belt versus a stretch one.

Mike, that's a great use for that Wessel Werk powerhead! I would have gone with the EBK360 version that has the standard neck though if I had to buy the powerhead, as the height adjustment would come in handy. Have used & compared the EBK340 & EBK360 side by side as well, and seems the EBK360 grooms slightly better as well.

I did the same thing years ago to a Rainbow E2 1 speed I owned for a couple years, except I used a Kenmore Powermate beater bar powerhead from the 90s with a central vac wand & short adapter wand with pigtail to make the powerhead neck work. Also had to change the powerhead receptacle in the hose handle with one from a Rainbow D4 hose handle, but I could have ordered the E2 pigtail & changed the cord on the wand. Was a really good deep cleaner, I wish I had kept it.

that's the SAME PN my rainbow came with (gold 2 speed) and I rarely ever have to change the belt on it... but I think the PN you put on is better..especially for airflow (from what I've read)

If I had a free EBK360 at my disposal, it would've been next on my list lol. I just didn't want to see this go to waste or sit around as a parts unit.
