James Kirby designed Frantz premier first Electric vacuum in 1909 , followed by models B,C,D and Model E ( before and after pictured here with the original bag ).

It was produced just before Kirby signed a royalty agreement with Scott and fetzer , around 1917-1919.

I’m still looking for the handle and fork bc unfortunately it got tossed out when I moved to LA .
If you have one for sale please let me know .

David,

The Ezee or "Grasshopper" was done in 1914, the year he left Frantz Premier. He had wanted to improve on the Grasshopper design then, but he left FP as they were not interested in anything else non-electric.

Hi Ben , thank you for your feedback but I must disagree . This is why ,
The Ezee ( Grasshopper) was a Premier ( frantz premier) product .in fact Kirby’s first vacuum design involving Scott and fetzer didn’t see the light of day until the Vacuette model B :)
I still don’t understand why they have it on their posters 😆

The Ezee was also conceived in 1912 and had two models , I’ll elaborate on that later when I get more imagery . ;)
Kirby literature has changed over the years this is another example , initially in 1999 it had the Ezee production date as 1912 then a couple of years later it changed to 1914 … 🤷‍♂️
Here is a screenshot of their website back in 1999
