That kind of looks like straight suction GE and universal.
What brand are they derived from apex GE or there own company?

They were very much their own thing. Mine uses a standard brushroll setup but their original used, well, this(below). I hope to find one of these one day.

As far as I can tell they were absorbed by Westinghouse in the mid 30s as I found an ad for a Westinghouse branded one of these(second pic on left) right around the time Sweeper Vac branded stuff disappeared. Sorry for bad ad pic quality, I couldn't find the original pic so had to find one I already sent and screenshot it.

SweeperVac

Here's my SweeperVac, similar to the one in the drawing. It has a lever that you moved to go between straight suction and motor driven brush. Started working on it when I got it, put it on the "back burner," and that's where it's been ever since.

Great find!

That nickel plating on the fan case seems to have yellowed quite a bit.

Maybe some Bar Keeper's Friend will bring it back to life?

I just learned about using BKF on the chrome of my Cadillac and it looks amazing. Took the hard water spots and streaks right off!

Does it run?

The fan case I am not worried about as I have tracked down a spare. The entire back plate broke the solder joint and the local welder won't touch it. I jb welded it for now.

The motor has issues. The biggest one being a shorted commutator bar so it arcs a lot and refuses to run correctly. Did not know that before I bought it, yay! lol
