It might be a long-shot but I'm wondering if anybody has a circuit board for my Fantom Cyclone XT or knows where I can find one.

The switch on the circuit board has been acting up for some time so I took the hood off and fidgeted with the switch on the circuit board and from what I can tell there is an internal problem with the switch. It's not an easy fix like the the surface the roller switch goes against is worn or an obvious external bad connection. Apparently switch failures were a common issue with the Cyclone XT. Regardless, I would like to find one for my vacuum which is in otherwise good condition.

Attached pic is for reference from an expired eBay ad.

If you know how to do simple soldering you can put a new switch on easily. None of those circuits or diodes are proprietary, its just all off the shelf stuff you could find at Radio Shack back in the day. I'd try shooting it with deoxit spray first and working it around in there before determining the switch construction is at fault.

Thank you for the advice. I did use a similar product on the switch and it didn't seem to help. Perhaps I can replace the switch on the circuit board as you indicated. There is a local electronics store that sells just about anything you would need for a circuit board. Hopefully they have a switch with a roller on it (not sure how common that is?) If not I'll keep searching eBay for a replacement or get a parts vacuum.

Alright if the cleaner didn't work safe to say the switch probably burned out or something else on the board did. Good luck with the search!
