Awhile back a thread was posted here(I cannot find) showing one of these contraptions. Well, turns out it was not homemade going by this printing press block depicting it.

i remember using one of these like in the printing block in grade could not use the rubber chalk board erasers cause it would take pieces off of them then we would get yelled at.

They do exist

I have one at my store. I always assumed it was for cleaning cloth bags. I have had it for quite some time.
