I found this really cool “Ikea” style wooden cabinet to store (and hide) a cordless stick vac - they sell this in Japan. See link below…

The company is called Eunit Japan. It’s like a tall wall unit to store a cordless stick vac. Has anyone seen something similar sold in North America or elsewhere?

A great idea for people who don’t want to display a dusty stick vac in the corner of their kitchen or living room - and it looks like it has space to store attachments and filters too.

The neat thing about this cabinet is the partly-open back that allows you to place it in front of an electrical outlet for plugging in the recharger. All out of sight. Most Ikea broom closets do not have this feature.

Japan is always innovating stuff like that to make your house look "tidy" and "perfect".

I think it's a cool idea but we might never see something like that here. You'd just have to find a slim kitchen pantry and modify it to fit.

More than likely has something similar.

Hi Lesinutah,

One would think this would be a “no-brainer” for Ikea. But I have searched their website and I can’t find one tall cabinet especially designed for the new rechargeable stick vacs that require easy access to a wall outlet. All they would need to do is design a package that offers the ability to have a blank back at the right level for a low power outlet or a high counter level outlet. Add some specially designed sliding shelves for all the attachments and extra filters and you could get a cabinet to easily hide and store a cordless stick vac. This would be especially useful for people who do not want to, or who can’t, mount the recharging cradle on a wall. It would also be great for all those stick vacs that can’t stand upright on their own.
