Here's an oddball. I got this for $90 in great condition with all its attachments. I like this machine it's pretty cool and strong.

Congratulations, Scott

...this is the vacuum I wanted and, in the color, I would prefer over white. I am sure at some point I will come across one.

You don't see too many of the Evolution ones pop up anymore. The 6500, if memory serves used a 2 stage motor and had a little mechanism to shut the brush off when the machine by diverting the belt to an idler pulley.
Overall they were a nice solid simple machine.

As far as I know, 7 models have a twin fan motor and clutch. 6300 (purple), 6600 (clear), 6700 (white), 6705 (white) 6706 (green), 6707 (white), and 6709 (white).

I keep seeing listings for what appears to be a dual fan motor for the 6500 I wonder if they changed the motor in the at some point? Or perhaps it's a case of the dual fitting them so they advertise it for the 6500.

As for the other piece I have seen one of them in the wild on a 6500 they're not like a bare floor control but rather just intended to shut the brush off when the machine is parked. The customer had brought it in due to that piece not working so the brush would continue to spin. I can't remember what happened with it I just know there was a very long backorder period on that part at the time.
I guess this piece is called a belt shifter.

You might be referring to the 6500E which I do know exists but have never seen one before. From the other 6500 models that I've seen before like vacuumlover1's for example, they don't have a twin fan motor or even a clutch. Maybe the Bernina version had one or both of those features before but I can't confirm it, I do know that it doesn't have a triple row brushroll just like the Morse version. I'd love to see brochures or even part diagrams for all the models that Dust Care has ever sold. I have a Cirrus CR89 that the only difference between it and the CR99 is that it doesn't have a turbo brush on-board.

when you use a hepa bag with these and aftermarket extension hose/tools.... these are really good vacuums... I've had a similar vac going on 5 years now.
