Hey everyone, Did you know I'm a senior graduating from High School and for my Graduation gift, Amazingly, I got a early 1930s Health Mor Sanitation system Vacuum. It's from the early or mid 30s because it has a toggle switch, which faces up on the foot switch assembly. The foot switch slides back and forth, compared to earlier models, witch had a toggle switch on the side of the foot switch assembly. My Health mor Also has a 2 rear wheel axle. Early Health mors had a single rear wheel axle. Lastly the vent holes at the rear of the motor housing are different and the handle yoke and locking assembly is different too. The handle yoke and locking mechanism is much like, identical to a more modern royal upright vacuum. Handel yokes for early health mors are much like the ones for early straight suction Royals, but mine is different. Also The nozzle on my Health mor includes the amazing Floating Brush, which has a mechanism which is like a lever. The lever is a bar with a small tab which can be pulled inward and outward, thus raising or making the brush literally float above the carpet or lowering the brush directly onto the surface. Earlier Health Mors just had simple brush strips, that snapped onto the bottom of the straight suction nozzle. I did a complete restoration of my Health Mor. I gave it such an wonderful polishing and a full inspection and tune up of the motor. Gave the motor a good lubrication and oiling. I also gave the front wheels some nice washers because it didn't have them before. I promise and I mean it, pictures of my Stunningly beautiful Health Mor, will come soon.

Health-Mor uprights were first made by Scott & Fetzer in 1928 and 1929. By 1930, Health-Mor contracted with Royal to make the machine for them. You can tell the difference by the switch.

Pictures

Here are photos of my restored Health Mor Sanitation System Vacuum. The only thing it needs for its restoration to be complete is a factory original Health Mor bag and the handle top with the wooden handle grip.

I compared pics and I have something almost identical to the original grip I would sell. I got it off an old Birtman Energex but they look almost exactly the same. Below is the pic of the original grip, and an Energex grip. Almost identical.

I'm so glad you all love my Health Mor pics. I literally got done with its restoration job about a week or so ago, except I don't have a factory original bag and handle top with the wooden grip. Quick question, Does someone on vacuumland have a factory original Health Mor sanitation System Bag, that they would be willing to give/sell to me? I am in the process of looking for a factory original bag for my machine and would love to have one, if someone out there has one for me, that would be terrific.

Quick question, Does someone here, any vacuum collector who has rare antique vacuums have a factory original Health Mor bag? I am looking to find a factory original health Mor bag for my Health Mor Sanitation System vacuum. It needs one badly, so that I can complete my vacuum's restoration project and make it all original. Original bags for Health Mors, were a navy blue herringbone with a red soak screened Health Mor logo near the top of the bag. If someone can please help me with that, that would be great.

I noticed from another post here that huskyvacs has a Health Mor that he said he got for a bargain of $60. I noticed in one of the pictures that their health mor had the handle top with the wooden grip included. Hello to huskyvacs, Do you happen to have a Health Mor handle top with the wooden handle grip? I noticed from another post that you have a handle top, with the wooden grip, off of a machine you got for $60. Just wondering, do you have this part, for a Health Mor at all?

Not all that long ago you were in a hot rash about parts for the Kirby 2C. What happened? Did you find those parts??

To electrolux137, I just had to put my Kirby 2C project on hold, until I can find all the parts I need to finish its restoration. I did find another Kirby 2C on eBay that has all the parts I need except for the headlight hood trim. Unfortunately, its selling for more than $600 plus $85 for shipping, if I were to buy it immediately. I don't know if I have all the money in the world to buy it right now, but I will try to save up enough money to get it maybe one day.

question

To electrolux137, Do you happen to have a factory original Health Mor bag to a Health Mor Sanitation System, by any chance? They were navy blue in color and had a red Health Mor logo soak screened onto the cloth. The logo was like a ribbon like font. If you have a Health Mor bag, please let me know soon, if not then please let me know where I can find one or direct me to someone on Vacuumland that actually has one.

I highly doubt anyone has a spare factory original bag just lying around. You could dye the bag and have someone skilled at graphic design(like a t shirt printing shop) screen print a Health Mor logo. Idk how much that would cost.

Congrats on your graduation from high school and getting the Health-Mor as a gift! As for the bag, I would recommend getting a "generic" bag from Vac Parts Plus or Steel City, dying it blue (they are usually grey), and having the logo screen printed on it. I would not dye the bag that's on it now, as it is a nice original Royal bag which is also hard to find, but not as hard to find as the Health-Mor.
Here are a couple pics of my Health-Mor. The previous owner got the grey generic bag like I mentioned, and had the logo embroidered on by a seamstress. Unfortunately, he didn't dye the bag before he had it done, but I'm happy with it as is. I do need to polish it sometime soon.

Here's a good shot of the logo from the small bag with the Health-Mor. I bet Michael Balda would be able to silk screen that logo for you.

Does Michael Balda have a factory original Health Mor bag to a Health Mor Sanitation System vacuum? If not, does he have a navy blue aftermarket Royal Upright Vacuum outer bag? Does he even have a navy blue factory original Royal upright vacuum bag from the 1920's? If not, Can he make a reproduction of a factory original Health Mor bag from scratch, meaning getting the proper cloth for the bag, cut it out into the exact shape, sew it all together and then silk screen an original Health Mor logo, onto the fabric/cloth?

Is Michael Balda a member on Vacuumland? If not, then can someone please tell me how to get in contact with him, like getting his email?

Can someone on vacuumland make a replica of a factory original Health Mor Bag? They are navy blue and the logo was a red ribbon like font. Does someone on vacuumland have a factory original Health Mor bag that the would be willing to sell to me? Or can someone please help me find a place or someone, that may have one? I may consider making a bag for my Health Mor myself, but that would be a little hard to do. All that work and the whole bag made from scratch, I'm a little unsure if I should go ahead with that or not.
