Just back from a trip where I met up with my friend Josh who had picked up the Dirt Devil and Airway for me. We traded my Soniclean for the airram. I took a trip out to a vac shop where the owner lets me go through his used vacs where the Kirby D50 (bags in the garage) the Hoover 33 and the Dyson DC27 were obtained.
I was eyeing this Oreck Dutchtech on marketplce for some time and eventually decided to give into temptation. It was priced at 40 and had been listed for a while. I went to go grab the cash and the seller messaged me saying it wouldn't turn on. I was like...well if it's not working i'd offer you 20 I may be able to get it to run or use some pieces from it. He then told me that i'd be doing him a favor by getting rid of it for him and I could just have it for free.

It's a Phillips design I believe, hence 'DutchTech'

Yes…it was made by Phillips for Oreck…it was upgraded to offer an electric power nozzle. I remember it did quite well in Consumer Reports tests…

Oh wow, yeah that Oreck is a nice one. I always liked the styling and the "ORECK" on the side. Looks really futuristic, like an 1980's vision of the 2000's. They are pretty rare too, you do not see them often at all. It's been many years since I last seen one on eBay.

Great haul. I have the same Dutch Tech, it's a great canister! Unfortunately the bag collar on mine has gone missing, so I've had to improvise a bit. Hopefully yours won't have the same problem. I've also noticed that the pins are coming loose in where the hose fits into the body of the canister. Since the controls are in the handle, sometimes the power will cut out to the whole machine when you tug on the hose. Love that AirWay too, is it straight suction only or does it have a port for a power nozzle?

Hmm have you tried looking for an equivalent Philips part? I see they make hepa bags for the Oslo+ style and may import some when the paper ones run out.
As for the airway it's straight suction

The Dutch tech is one of my favorite vacuum cleaners that nobody talks about.

Also that Airway is gorgeous!
