Just about any supplier of commercial type vacuums has these listed at $2500 or even more-remember getting mine for less than $1000.WEll guess if you want to pay this price better for the M1 than a Rainbow or Filter Queen.Just figure this new price may no longer compete against other commercial canisters such as backpacks.

All commercial service companies can charge whatever they want because they know a business can't do without it and will pay any price they ask out of desperation. That is why such a high price.

I got a NSS M1 of the original 1960's model for just $45. Missing everything, but, I do have one.

Don't be so sure---There are lower price commercial vacuums available at lower prices. The last time I bought a NSSM1 was about 5yrs ago-price was less than half what it cost now.Granted the M1 is the best-but it could get priced out of competition.Commercial users seek low prices same as home users do.

I wish NSS was still offering a power head for these given the price.

When NSS made the Designer Dry line of commercial canisters the Powernozzle for those could be adpted to use on the "pig"The Pig you would need to have would be the carpet version with the pigtail cord to run the powernozzle.I had the vac shop make up an adaptor to use my Simplicity Volt powernozzle-works well with the Pig.Gives him lots of stuff from the floor to eat!

Wanted to get an NSS Designer Dry canister for my collection-but don't think they make those anymore-saw one at the former Circuit City here as their store vacuum-when they went under-couldn't find that machine at their going out of business sale.
