Today I finally got a Rainbow D3A that I brought from ebay last week and it works great for it's age. However when I try to put the hose on the basin port it gets really tight I have to force myself to push it in and pull it out. The hose I'm using is designed to fit on Rainbow D1, D2, D3, and D4 series. Should I get another D3 basin to fit the hose smoothly?

Rainbow I would check hose first.Is the metal end perfectly round? | ||

Hmm, maybe stick it in a pan of boiling hot water for a little bit and see if the hose will insert when it's hot if that is the case, just be gentle. Maybe once it cools it will re-shape. Of course hopefully it won't get permanently stuck. lol Other than buying another one I'm not sure what else to do if it has somehow shrunk. Maybe some plastic safe grease. | ||

You might also- -try sandpaper around inside of the pan opening. | ||
