Looks like a custom or rebuild painted XII. If you look closely you can even see the black bakelite motor ring next to the brown back end. We didn't get brown(bakelite) end round Luxes here, those were for Australia and Europe.

That does look like a modified Lux XII! I'm assuming this was an episode of the TV show they had in the late 40's or early 50's. They also made a full length movie called "Little Giant" where Lou gets a job selling vacuum cleaners, don't remember what year it came out, but I have a copy on VHS. In the movie, he's living on a farm with his Mom and taking a record correspondence course in salesmanship. Upon finishing the course, he goes to the city and his Uncle gets him into the company selling Hercules Vacuum Cleaners, with Bud Abbott playing the part of company president. Some of the same gags are in the movie that are used in the TV episode, but the vac is different--the one in the movie looks like it could either be something built by Royal or Clements. Interesting too, that the one in the TV episode is called a Samson, and the one in the movieis a Hercules.
