The image is from a 1975 or 1976 Eureka poster. The model in question is between the Models 2025 and 2042.

Haven’t figured it out yet Paul. It’s an interesting model: has the old Vanguard motor head and head light, plus a Rugulator like the early Vanguards. A year earlier, this was given the model number 2048 according to the ebay listing below…

I am going to take a guess that the way “Eureka” is displayed on a bag is a good indicator of the year or years the upright was produced. That is if - and only if - the model being shown on EBay is not a FrankenEureka with a replacement or mismatched bag.
So there were a few years where all upright bags had the Eureka name printed in black on the bag. After that period, the company actually glued a nice plastic label to the bag. In 1973 and 1974, the deluxe Rugulator uprights in Queen Anne Gold had no brandname on the gold bag. |
