I have a Kirby G5 and understood that Kirby emptors fit each other. I have a Sentria emptor and bag but it does not seem to fit. I cannot turn it all the way to the final position to push in the switch button. Any help or ideas please?
Thanks

Should fit...

I think the G series, Sentria and Avalir emptors are all interchangeable. I've seen pictures of Avalir emptors on earlier machines like the Gsix, and I have a G7 bag assembly on my G5. It fits like a glove. The only thing that comes to mind is to make sure there isn't a bunch of dirt where the two pieces come together.

G series all have the same size exhaust port and emtors are interchangeable.

The emtor on my G6 is very difficult to get twisted on all the way.
If you have some silicon grease (or a car interior protectant with silicon), put a very small amount on the sealing gasket to reduce friction and it should pop right on. Do not use petroleum based oil/grease as it will deteriorate the seal.

When putting the emptor on, sometimes they need to be hit into place until they lock in. It's a very tight fit.

All G-series parts are interchangeable with the Sentria and Avalir and vice-versa. However with the Sentria forward, you will face styling incompatibility with the parts, due to the streamlined shape of the newer models.
